The CAPOEIRA school, CAIS DO MAR, based in Kyoto is organizing a capoeira baptism on 5th of November. The event will take place in the Minami Seishonen Katsudo Center. It will start at 10:30 and end around 17:00. An after party is planned from 18:30.Capoeira is a great experience to live as a unique dancing and martial art combination. You can find all information about the event and the school here.
There are several website that provide free translation service from English to Japanese on the web.So if you would like to compare several of them at the same time, "cross translation" will be a great help for you.
Of course, they provide Japanese to English.
If English to Japanese translation function doesn't work, try Japanese version. 英⇒日 means from English to Japanese.

I've visited Tenjin-san Flea Market at Kitano Shrine.People sell antique and second hand Kimonos & Obis, ceramics, ethnic goods, food, furniture, swords and just about anything else you can imagine. You can get a Kimono or a Obi for 1,000 yen! Obi could be a good souvenir to decorate your table.
Some sellers do speak English a little. You can try to negotiate to have some discount. If you haven't visited this nice and cheap place to get stuff, I strongly recommend to have a look! You might be amazed. There are more variety shops than you can imagine.
